CB Built Homes is a Birmingham-area contractor built on hands-on trade experience (painting, carpentry, remodeling) and run on a simple conviction: the way a crew handles a small job tells you everything about how they’d handle a big one.

We also know why hiring a contractor feels like a gamble. Homeowners tell us the same worries again and again: surprise costs, quality shortcuts, phones that stop ringing, schedules that slip. So we built the company around their opposites: free written estimates itemized line by line, prep work we never skip, a call back every time, and realistic dates we honor. If something changes, you know the same day we do.

The Story Behind CB

Founded by Joseph Capra & Connor Barnett

Joseph Capra grew up in Cahaba Heights and brings nearly a decade of construction management and land development to every job. He started CB Built Homes around something he believes has become hard to find: exceptional craftsmanship and genuine attention to detail. He treats every project as if it were his own home, from concept and design through the smallest finishing details.

Connor Barnett is a U.S. Navy veteran with a technical background in nuclear mechanics and nearly a decade of construction management of his own. Combined with a longstanding interest in home building and real estate, that background shows up as a detail-oriented, do-it-right-the-first-time approach. He believes in fairness, honesty, and every customer getting the same care and transparency.

Whether it’s a repaint, a renovation, or a future forever home, they believe clients deserve quality work, thoughtful design, honest communication, and a finished product they can be proud of for years to come.

Every estimate is free and every quote is written and itemized, so you can compare line by line, even against other bids.

Tidy Job Sites

Swept nightly, tools stowed, dust contained. You should be able to live in your home while we work on it.

Behind every job: one clear owner for the carpentry, one for the finishes, and one for the schedule, so nothing falls between trades, and your daily update always comes from someone who was on site.
